Decathlon Expansion in Ireland and United Kingdom - Retail Signage at Its Very Best

The French based sports and leisure retail giant, Decathlon, contracted with Pearce Signs for the signage manufacture and installation programs at their Belfast, Ireland and subsequently 4 additional UK retail locations. The project initiation at each location included precise physical site surveys and communicating a clear understanding of installation parameters. Pearce Signs created the design and material specifications for Decathlon’s branding displays. The recommendation of custom manufactured, digitally printed PVC and “flex-face” (a durable poly-cotton canvas) materials for installation on retrofitted mounting frames, light box displays and freestanding illuminated totem signs gave Decathlon a high quality branded presence with mindful attention to budgetary and timing requirements.

For illuminating Decathlon’s brand, Pearce Signs utilised highly efficient LED lighting systems replacing the existing fluorescent tubing.   For the Wednesbury, UK location, blue neon rings emit Decathlon’s brand prominence.  Embracing the use of these innovations Decathlon will benefit from reduced electrical and maintenance costs and will realise a pay back of their investment within 2 years.  The LED emission reduction also allows for Decathlon to appreciate tax concessions due to the reduction of their carbon footprint.
